Take up Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Problem solved.

Do it. I stopped a little while ago because I didn't have the time. It is so much fun. Once I free some time on my schedule I am going to take it up again.

I had fun when I did it, but I am built small so everyone else was bigger than me. It didn't help I was the newest person there by a few months. I couldn't catch up or have an even match..

Lol. I wasn't the smallest but I found myself at the beginning measuring success in how long I was able to last before I tapped. My best moment was when I was rolling with the guy who ran the school (a black belt) abd was able to pull off a cross gi choke on him.

I have a small, petite frame for a guy, whilst everyone else there is a fucking bodybuilder over 6ft tall. On my 10th class, some guy that had been there years was rolling with me like I was His equal. That fucking sucked.
I want to go back, but I'll be way too small to stand a chance..

Don't worry about the size of your opponents. As a smaller person you will become proficient in a defensive style. Roll with other players who understand and respect your size difference. Refuse to roll with spazzes and juice heads who 'trane UFC' and treat every practice like Dana White is scouting them.. This way you avoid injury and get the moist out of your membership. Do not be afraid to speak with your Professor about the problem students or even join another school.
This actually sets off alarm bells in my head. Please tell me you are a brown belt or have been sandbagging at purple for years. I know players who, if they had witnessed it, would want to know the lineage of your instructor immediately. Not to mention where and when their black was awarded and by whom (and possibly the lineage of that person as well)...

There's really only one dojo in town, and it's the best one of any martial art here. I'm pretty much stuck with the small class size of massive muscleheads that are all blue belts.
It's funny: The purple belts are some of the nicest folks you could meet. They'll spend all the time in the world to make sure you understand what's going on, They are very humble and 'normal' (not juiced up dicks), and they treat everyone as friendly as possible. The blue belts are almost exclusively jerks with massive muscles.

Lol, in his defense he was holding back while rolling with me and I am sure I would have never been able to do that under normal circumstances but I am still able to say I pulled off a cross gi choke on a black belt even if it is a technicality. His lineage and belt award was well established (not a McDojo CEO by any means). Your post has the tone of one that I would expect to see on bullshido, not that that is a bad place. I am amazed at the number of hacks that can be found in the world of martial arts but when I see the money that can be made it is not as surprising as it sounds.

I would like to inquire as to how much Anonymous A and Leo both pay for their respective schools. I, too, am considering joining a school after a long hiatus.

Maybe you could get one or two of the purples to tool some of the blues and hopefully make them realize that nothing is learned in the process. They may be inclined to use more technique and less brute strength on you if they know what its like to get strangled non-stop when you're supposed ro be practicing.

I paid $77 for two lessons a week, but that is less than usual. It was usually like, $100 for 3-4 classes. They taught kickboxing and wrestling as well, so the cost covers any classes (you pay that amount and pick what you go to).

That's a decent price. Schools in my city range quite a bit in price but there are solid lineages to train under here.. For a long time I just used puzzle mats, torrents and a partner.. Now I am looking for more structure but my career makes it difficult to make time.
Edit: typos

I would love to find someone with a schedule like mine to train with. Fucking real life gets in the way of everything.

I'm seriously considering a 6:45am - 7:45am class that's twice a week and close to my office. The only problem is I tend to be a real dickhead if I'm up at that hour..
