NASA concluded the RF resonant cavity thruster design does produce thrust “not attributable to any classical electromagnetic phenomenon.” In other words, NASA confirmed Shawyer’s initial prognosis (much like the team of Chinese scientists), but couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation as to why the thing works outside of, “it just does.”
The reason why this thrust exists still confounds even the brightest rocket scientists in the world, but the recurring phenomenon of direction-based momentum does make the EmDrive appear less a combination of errors and more like a legitimate answer to interstellar travel.

maybe they've just stumbled upon a very weak proof of concept kind of thing and will be able to refine the thing into a high thrust engine, which would be cool. just imagine if it was capable of generating a constant 9.8m/s of acceleration. that would be so lovely.

80 watts of power produces 100 micronewtons which is 0.0000224808943871 Pounds of Thrust
Current Ion Engines with 1KW of power produce 0.00449618 Pounds of Thrust - Not a totally fair comparison because Xenon or another gas is necessary for Ion engines. Currently lots of GEO Satellites with a life of 15 years OH GOD one more use of the number 15 will be pointed out by a smart ass anon -
