You're speaking to someone who thought it was a good idea to experiment on a diet entirely consisted of coconut oil and then ending up choking on too large a chunk near-fatally, as in, I was out of breath and coughing maniacally for 4 minutes.
A few more minutes and too many people on Minichan would be celebrating, I think.

I honestly feel as if this is the first winter I won't succumb to suicidal urges. I've never felt so much serenity! So even if you all engage on the all-offensive, I feel finally protected by my own confidence enough to persevere.

A chunk too large had entered my throat and situated itself in it so as to block a large portion of my windpipe. This wouldn't be a problem with a substance less viscuous but at room teperature, said chunk is remarkably solid!
I had to heave desperately despite this air-flow being blocked; rampant diaphragm movement must've had stepped in as a protective mechanism to help my cough that shit out. It was 4 minutes and I was beginning to get tired before one last breath had violently managed to eject the culprit; most certainly convinced it was almost the end, but too stubborn quite to let go off the ridge of morality yet.
This was in apprx. January of this year.

All the same at room temperature (tends to be colder in my case as I switch off the heating mostly out of preference; so about 10-15C), esp. unrefined variants.

I will say my experiences about drinking the liquid -- entirely possible if I close the cap and run some hot water through it -- to which I cringe in slight revulsion as I write this.
It's like really bitter semen that has been allowed to go off and added with a little bit of artificial sweetener, a really cheap one.
The taste isn't as oblique when cold.
