go to the google app and go to the settings, then voice and disable ok google detection. either that is triggering, or you are somehow pressing on a button that is prompting the phone to do a voice search

Some headphones have a button to start voice search, it could be either the plug ? or connector is broken and giving that signal.

i have "ok google" detection enabled from every screen, and i have never had anything like this happen, very strange. headphones could be triggering it, so maybe they're faulty like the other posters said

Is it Google Now? You could try deleting the Google app. Also are you using headphones with a built-in mic?

This annoying BS app totally pisses me off and constantly interrupts my music and workouts. I've searched everywhere and turning off search & now, or any of the other recommendations does NOT work. Nothing will disable the app all the time. But, here's a way I've found to turn this bitch off for days/weeks on end.
When the app asks "I didn't hear what you said", your response is "open Gmail". Gmail will open and the app stops bugging you as long as Gmail stays open. You can now go back to your music or workout and not have to hear this shit anymore.
