We have those here. They are companies that will pick up food and deliver it from restaurants that don't offer delivery. They usually just barely stay afloat because no one wants to pay mark-up prices for Burger King or Olive Garden food.

A lot of them bill themselves as "caterers" and charge crazy fees per person so no. I can get a pizz for under $20 USD. Doing some Internet research, I cannot get a Big Mac and fries or a local meal delivered for anything under 30-40-ish USD. (often much higher) Grocery delivery is much cheaper though!

Here in the San Diego area we have multi delivery services - Even places that used to home deliver have been turning to the Pros

Restaurants on the Run
Eat24 Food Delivery
San Diego Food Delivery - aka - grubhub.com‎
Delivered Dish

I only use them when I have a party going on and at the last minute find more guests than planned and can call in reinforcements.
Cost of delivery from say Grub Hub can be Free or $3.99 to $5 but there is also a minimum each restaurant places on orders like one I used was $25 and the other was $35 so its probably the restaurant that pays a fee to the service as well as the $5 they may get from me.

Doubt any of them handle a quick burger joint but could be wrong

There is just one that does Free delivery for about 20 restaurants and have yet to try it re limited places.

Only pizza places and chinese places tend to deliver in the U.S. although Taco Bell is experimenting with a new delivery service after their costumers demanded for this feature. So I'm fucking happy because I love Taco Bell.

Interesting that Brits like to harp on American obesity when the UK obesity rate is only 8% less. Not to mention Mexico surpassed us a while back.

Damn - had to look up such on Wiki. Island has interesting history including once being super rich - now not so much anymore and now on welfare
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nauru

Nauruans are the most obese people in the world; 97 percent of men and 93 percent of women are overweight or obese. In 2012 the obesity rate was 71.7%.

As a result, Nauru has the world's highest level of type 2 diabetes, with more than 40 per cent of the population affected. Other significant dietary-related problems on Nauru include kidney disease and heart disease.

Looking4 wot happen to people and the Christians forbid this original religion of Island
> The original native people believed in a female deity, Eijebong, and a spirit land, an island called Buitani.

> Area: 8.108 mi²
Population: 10,084

Postage stamp size Island so its AMAZING Brits have not invaded and taken it over

> The average body weight among Nauruans is estimated to be approximately 100 kilograms (220 lb)

From another wiki on why they are the most people on Planet Earth as a population

Cause of obesity

Before Nauru gained independence in 1968, there was a culture of fishing and gardening. The Nauruan diet then was primarily composed of marine fish, fruits, root vegetables, and coconuts. But after Nauru gained independence, there was a major economic growth resulting from mining. The profits from the mining activities were distributed among the citizens and Nauru's per capita income became very high. As a consequence, people did not feel the need to work.

Then they use up Postage stamp Island's wealth and

Nauru has very little arable land and relies on importing processed food, which is high in both sugar and fat, from large Oceanian countries like Australia and New Zealand. Most, if not all, of the diet on Nauru is high fat and high sugar foods, that contain very little nutritional value.

Apart from unhealthy diet, lack of physical exercise, and lack of proper health education, cultural attitude towards obesity has played an important role in the high obesity rate in the country.

Obesity is seen as a sign of wealth in Nauru
