I had a dream that I was on vacation with my family and we were in a transitional type area, like a place where planes are parked or boats are docked. We were walking on some sort of large platform not very far above a giant body of pitch black water. It was filled with drowned or drowning kittens, puppies, and small adult dogs and cats. I leaned over trying to fish out one of the animals and then I fell in. I was okay, and kind of treating water, so I started to put the various bodies up onto the wooden bridge/dock. I remember saving a kitten and then pulling out a cat that was obviously it's mother, but the adult cat was already dead.

No. I have a lot of dreams where I have to save drowning animals but usually they are mice or hamsters/gerbils that are a weird bean shape.

I had a dream a friend of mine asked who Herbert Hoover was, and I had to explain. Then I was trying to hit on this girl who was showing me how she had learned to vocalizations for ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs by reading through the funerary inscriptions of Thutmose III. Apparently it worked because she started talking about marriage and laws regarding community property.
