It's a modern take of the older isometric RPGs like Fallout 1 & 2, Divine Divinity and Baldur's Gate. There have been a few remakes of the older style RPGs like Wasteland 2 and Pillars of Eternity but Divinity is by far the best of the bunch.

I've been considering it, but there's some pretty major games coming out just now...

Regardless, do you think the Enhanced Edition adds much? I've heard the original version is already very good.

Also, does the game have a deep lore and story, or is it more about the mechanics?

Yes it has very deep lore and story. Divinity goes back as far as Baldur's Gate.

If you enjoyed Pillars of Eternity then you'll love this as it's really 100 times better.

I did like PoE a lot, actually. So if it's something like that, I think I'll enjoy it.

I'm gonna be busy with Halo and Fallout for a while... But I think I'll put this on my Steam wishlist to remind myself. Thanks, bud.

i did the same thing when sierra put all of the old Space Quest games online. kinda funny though, i remember those games taking many hours each to finish and i'd play them over the course of weeks. when i played through them all again as an adult i beat them all in an afternoon. but i guess once you know all the puzzles and aren't fascinated by simple parsing they move rather quickly.

I used to play Fallout 2 over and over. Great times.
