Yes. We have lost the database several times due to crappy database and shitty (read: none, really) backup practices.

I am using the power of bup, which automatically detects changes and makes incremental backups. The way I do it is to do a mysqldump to the same location nightly, and then bup that + the docroot of the minichan site
