Actually its kinda rare to see black people at blacks beach.
Ironic I suppose. Its possible black people are not so much in need of a sun tan.

I wouldn't expect many blacks to be there. That area is too nice. I love driving up there. I've personally never been, but I've been literally right there next to it.

One of my best memories of Blacks beach has nothing to do with it being in part a nude beach. Suspect you have seen copies of the San Diego Reader.
There used to be a hiking page monthly author Jerry Schad - Also author of "Afoot and Afield in San Diego County. Terrific hiking guide. Jerry taught astronomy at one of the local colleges.
Each year at the lowest tide of the year he led a hike - Park cars at VA if I remember correctly and go down to Blacks where the trek started. I took the coaster down because the beach trek started at Blacks and ended at Tamarack and at that time I lived in Carlsbad. Everyone else wood have to take the bus all the way back at end.
Turns out there was a storm the day before so the waves were way higher then expected and we had to crawl along the rocks at Blacks - If for no other reason then to check out those rocks and cliffs you really do need to take a tour of Blacks. Has fantastic formations I have not seen anywhere else in So Cal.
And of course so much of it is Torrey Pines State park so its just one amazing sweet place to do a beach walk North of Blacks.

I've definitely gotta check that out sometime. It's been years since I've been to Torrey Pines Park. Should probably do that again now that I'm an adult these days.
