When I was 21, I killed an old man because I heard he sold child porn and had a lot of money. Because of my brutal upbringing, murder was not troubling to me. Jail and prison were more peaceful than home. Several years before the murder, I was to be a nuclear tech in the Navy. A "friend" told on me for thefts, ruining that. Feeling cursed to be an outlaw, with no social safety net, I beat up inmates, escaped, stole guns at gun point, etc. I killed myself by crime.

Miraculously, since imprisonment, I've become:
literate in French, a published poet, a skilled artist, a potent litigator, a mentor to younger convicts, bald :)

My time's spent: drawing (portraits, animals, abstract), writing (poems, essays, fiction, plays), litigating for others, reading (non-fiction— psychology, philosophy, history; fiction/thrillers & classics) and creating stuff for my blog, "Prometheus Writes!"

Well I guess I better tell you the simple basics of who I am w/out the lies, head games and the list could go on but if any of you don't believe anything in this letter feel free to look me up on the computer.

My DOB is Oct. 20, 1974 but I FEEL much younger than I am, I feel like I am in my early 30's and I run my life the same way. Why write a prisoner? It seems most people have an excuse why they shouldn't, but there's a few things they never consider.

The first thing they never consider is the fact that a lot of people do a lot of things and simply never get caught. The second thing they never consider is the fact that if everybody was rich in this prison, a bunch of people wouldn't be here. And the most important thing they never consider is nobody knows the value of friendship like somebody in prison who has watched fake friend after fake friend fade away!

I can't promise an angel or an answer to every question in life, but I'll be completely open and honest about everything in my life, including my case and appeal process. I'm hoping to meet all types of people from all walks of life and learn about real-life experiences! And hopefully I can share my own life experiences.

Over the years I've done my best to better myself as a man, but it's a never ending journey when it comes to betterment. I try to have understanding for everybody, though, and I'll never hold anybody to some preconceived societal notions of "right" and "wrong".

In late February 1996, Andrew Kline was working at the Mansfield Winn-Dixie.   In the early morning hours of February 27 th, the store manager told Kline to drive to another store and pick up some bailing wire.   Kline got lost and sought directions from passing motorists.   Brandt Pankey, Wade Burns, and appellant stopped to talk with Kline.

After giving Kline incorrect directions, the trio decided to rob him.   They stopped Kline and took him to a nearby creek.   There, they threatened Kline with a pellet gun, which resembled a .357 revolver, and stripped and beat Kline.   While Kline was attempting to escape, Pankey and appellant got into Kline's truck and ran him over.   Kline was left in the creek bed and later died from his injuries.

Hello, I hope as you read this that you're in good spirits. If not my advice is to consume a strong spirit to achieve being in a good spirit(s). As you read this, I'm still in the pretrial phase being tried for attempted murder again. I've already been convicted of robbery 1st degree and (2) assault 3rd Degree. I'm presumpt to 15 years. If you choose to write, I'll tell you what happened from my perspective as to why I'm locked up. The uniqueness of my case and be an example of why doing drugs that you know nothing about are very bad. Please, know this, I had no intention of committee my crime. I hold no resenment towards the family for wanting to pursue a re-trial for the attempted murder. I do understand, and respect their efforts.

I'm an introvert, whose basic traits are honesty, loyalty and respect. I'm a person of high self-confidence, self-discipline, self-esteem and self-control w/a deep well of patience. Even though I'm solitary I value my friendships w/people and show my gratitude in my artwork I make for them, along w/when I eat they eat. I view the big picture in terms of reality, for example due to the severity of my case I may get more people who'll hate them being sympathetic.

A better understanding to those reading this who I am: I can a yogi of 15 years & I absolutely love it. Some of my favorite authors and books are Robert Greene, Miyanoto Mesashi, Robert Jordan, the biographies on Ghandi, Che Guevara, books by Andrew Vachss, Stephen Hunter, Tom Clancy, any Star Wars novel plus anything Marvel. Where I'm a quiet person verbally on paper I'm able to open up.

A man is behind bars after grabbing an 11-year-old boy away from his mother Thursday in downtown Anchorage, holding the boy at knife point until good Samaritans fought off the attacker, police say.

Raymond Charles Katchatag, 27, is charged with kidnapping, robbery and assault. The boy and three men who came to his rescue suffered minor injuries, including cuts to the boy and one of the men, according to a charging document filed in court Friday.

Katchatag demanded the woman's bags about 4:50 p.m. Thursday inside a sky bridge over Sixth Avenue, a police spokeswoman said in a written statement Friday. The mother had been shopping inside a store at the 5th Avenue mall when Katchatag snatched the boy, put a knife to his throat and said he would kill the boy if the woman did not "give him all her stuff," the charges say.

Three bystanders in the area wrestled Katchatag to the ground, according to the charges. One was cut on his hand, another was scraped in the scuffle and the third strained a shoulder, the charges say.

"The juvenile... suffered a slight injury on his neck where Katchatag held the knife to his throat and a cut to his index finger...," the charges say. "After being restrained by mall security, Katchatag asked if he had killed the 11-year-old and stated that he had killed before."

Katchatag's criminal history includes two convictions for felony theft charges and 10 misdemeanor convictions on charges of vehicle tampering.

Appearing in court Friday at the Anchorage Jail, Katchatag smiled to other inmates and answered a judge's questions about his finances.

"I've been out of jail about a week. In that time I've made about 600 bucks," he said.

"Do you have any money in the bank?" asked Judge Jo-Ann Chung.

"No, I don't trust the banks," Katchatag said.

I really don't like talking about myself, but I guess in this case I have no choice. I'm 27 of age, 160 pounds solid in all the right places. My weight goes perfectly with my height. I enjoy reading, writing, working out, and laughing as well is making people laugh. I have a good sense of humor if I do say so myself. I pride myself in being a fun fearless man. There's nothing more important than establishing a friend through themail.

Open honestly exists much earlier than in-person friendships if that even develops.

Keep in mind that "practice makes perfect." You become better at anything by experience on experience on experience by repetition. Your writing will make better writing. You can achieve more in letters by the pen than you can by your mouth. In letters you achieve what is a valuable asset. Remember, don't toss out a letter-don't waste your time sending something which is only half understood.

Isn't your time important? Which is as much as to say, aren't you important? Therefore, make every word readable, make every word spelled correctly.

A Pittsburg woman was excoriated by a judge before she got a 12-year prison sentence for ramming her ex-boyfriend with her car and swerving for several blocks as he held onto the hood, until he fell off and got run over.

Brianne Michelle Raisner, 27, pleaded no contest last month to voluntary manslaughter with a felony enhancement for using a vehicle as a weapon in the death of 31-year-old Michael Krummen Jr. in the early-morning hours of Sept. 13, 2009.

During her sentencing in Contra Costa Superior Court, Raisner called the death an accident and said that Krummen jumped onto the hood of her car, sending her into a panic. A visibly incredulous Judge Nancy Davis Stark impatiently waited for Raisner to finish speaking before launching into a spirited admonition.

"I think this is the most outrageous lie I have ever heard, given the evidence," Stark said.

Stark went on to detail Raisner's actions that night: that she never tried to stop once Krummen was on the hood; that once he fell off and was partially under her car, surveillance cameras show her sitting inside the car for 1 minute, 17 seconds without getting out, checking on him or calling for help; and that her allegations that Krummen was rough with her were refuted by neighbors' accounts that it was she who physically and verbally abused him.

Stark also cited Raisner's criminal history - arrests tied to grand theft and auto burglary, many of which while she was on probation - in deciding to give her the maximum possible sentence. The judge's motivation was fueled in part by her desire to comfort a family that had been tearfully outspoken against a plea deal that allowed Raisner to avoid a murder trial.

"I did it as best as I could," Stark said in closing her statements.

Krummen's brother, Marcus, spoke during the sentencing. He said in a previous hearing that this was not the first time Raisner tried to run over Michael.

"You took my brother and you have no remorse," Marcus Krummen said. "You're nothing but a joke."

Police and relatives say Michael Krummen Jr. had gone to Raisner's Marina Boulevard apartment to retrieve his belongings after a breakup. Both had smoked crystal methamphetamine during the visit -- a fact that influenced prosecutors in reaching the voluntary manslaughter agreement. Stark said it partly explained but could never absolve her actions.

"You dead-aimed at him," Stark said. "He was never looking in your direction."

I am interested in corresponding with other creative individuals.

Prior to incarceration I worked as a sculptor in fabric, plexiglass and welding. Adjusting to the radical different creative options in prison was a challenge. Initially I expanded my graphics. Eventually I decided to give yarn a whirl. I was delighted to discover crochet as a sculpturing technique.

Having been on the receiving end of extreme domestic violence, I've made donating work to advocacy groups a priority. Recently I was transferred from prison to a County jail. In prison I ran the silkscreen shop, designed garden, facilitated native prayer circles and painted murals.

Jail resembles Max with better food and TV. After nine years of prison, this current dearth of mental stimulation has persuaded me to seek out others of like mind.

Some of my interests include fish, herpetology, horticulture and self-sufficient living. I plan on relocating my studio to Louisiana upon release. If you ever hear of a woman living inside of a dinosaur sculpture in a swamp, that will be me.

Hello!

I'm putting myself up 4 adoption. Tricks 4 doggie snacks! Ha! Prison is sad without companionship. This life would be easier with a friend. Every day present struggles that must be engaged with a mind of hopeful strength. Yet all too often the most I can do is rmfitr. Maybe we can strive against mental oppression together.

I'll write letters with anyone however, I don't like "cafon", a rude person. My goal is to experience frequent visitation and when a caring advocate. Writing is challenging 4 me so you must be willing to visit. Raised Christian but my lighthouse ways from neglect. I'm just trying to survive each and every day. "God help me".

Oddball-goofy-playful-father-tatto/artist-poet-bookworm. Like playing cards and find the Scrabble God. Ha! I love cooking Mexican. Love music, metal-R&B-country-Motown. Lately I'm identifying with classic rock which has benefited my efforts learning guitar. My television programs e: Big Brother-Survivor-Dateline-48-hours, 60 Minutes-PBS.

Don't like liars or people who want to hurt other people. I participate with disfortunate children and my hair went to wigs 4 kids. I believe giving back levels out wrong I've done. Each morning I tone up exercise/yoga meditation. Prior to incarceration I painted Hardys and work that he would know when I was fishing.
