iron maiden were apparently formed in 1975, their debut album was released in 1980 but they also had an ep before it, released in 1979

they also apparently had another singer originally who isn't credited in any releases

my question is, why is this? is there any material before their first ep that features this singer?

yeah, but they often release material regardless of their success, or it could leak to the public, or they could have had underground live shows recorded by members of the audience when nobody knew them, or release very early recordings after they do become successful

that like never happens with bands like iron maiden especially if they had a line up change like that and especially if you are talking about the 80s. the recordings would be shit if they did exist on account of nobody had flipping. Home studios or Macbook.
