Quite frankly, I feel both sides are fucking disturbing.
I feel it to be sad that abortion does essentially rob a fetus of becoming an infant or new life if you will, but at the same time I find it horrible to force restrictions that the woman has to comply to or else face severe consequences.
This is a pretty tough issue for me to side with. I like to think I side with logic though I maybe the less logical person here.
I feel abortion should not be illegal and that if pro-lifers want to try to lower the rate of abortions then they should focus more on education about safe-sex and planned parenthood. Unfortunately, the problem is that pro-lifers are a group of religious fundamentalists still following the laws laid out in an ancient tome.
I just felt like I needed to discuss this somewhere.

Abortions are not fun or happy affairs no matter what side of the issue you stand on. But I do think they should be legal, and readily available. A fetus will not lament its passing, but an unwanted child will lament that. Foster homes are not a jazzy place to be. From a societal standpoint abortion is in fact the better option. This isn't even considering abortions for infants that will have particular diseases.
I do understand the pro-life perspective though, and can empathize with the feeling that "killing babies" isn't nice. I do not think that "people are going to do it anyway" is a good argument for making something legal, and I do not think that the circumstance of the pregnancy is a good pro-choice argument.

Abortion and the death penalty are two very complicated topics. I'm okay with abortion up to a point, but once the fetus is clearly a human being I don't see how abortion differs from murder. Also if the mother's life is at stake it seems reasonable to abort as well.

I think abortion is a difficult thing, but I prefer it to creating an unwanted child, and I think that if a disease is going to be passed down the pregnancy should be terminated. I wouldn't say any of that is last resort.
Yes, I think education is in fact the most important thing. And I believe in the funding of Planned Parenthood.

Because wayyyy back I said to self I have no problem with women making this decision for selves but for me I wood want no part in saying yes to an abortion if I were asked for my opinion after the deed was done with consequences
Then came that phone call from a girlfriend telling me she was pregnant - We proceeded to discuss in person and later with a therapist. She decided it should be an equal decision.
I ended up agreeing to something I never thought I wood agree to. It was a complex difficult decision to arrive at for me.
I also think about how Hitler decided to march mass of Jews and others to gas chambers. And how men can decide to kill something that is alive (I am in favor of the death penalty)
Bottom line for me is - Abortion is is is is a very difficult issue and I hope the USA Super court soon slaps the shit out of Texas on current abortion laws - and again I am not pushing Abortion as ok but its ok in my book for a women do decide for herself
