"Larkin's old site" is scatchan.net, which was a shit forum (literally — the browser icon was a poop). The admin of the site was "Scatman" and the joke was that he was called John Larkin because a Jazz musician by that name called himself the Scatman and was famous in the late '90s.

Owner and I did a lot of PM's. He found it near impossible to find mods he could trust. Tryp gave up - kook gave up - bobby2sox was always sick. Maybe by now dead? Owner said it was so much work to keep the site clean. Only reason I was interested in it was its the only chan that was open for peer to peer PM's.
