1 teaspoon per cup of gravy, roughly. Mix well and GOD DAMN! It's so rich and flavorful. This works on white, brown, and poultry gravies. Also bacon grease goes well on sautéed vegetables.

Cooking gammon in the slow cooker gets you huge amounts of stock to play with. I've been using it to cook noodles in some kind of soup but I'll try your gravy with it if you say I should.

"Bacon" in America refers exclusively to what in Yurop is called "streaky bacon" which produces massove amounts of grease when pan fried. Leaner cuts such as back bacon (which IIRC is more popular in Europe) produces much less grease.

One slice of bacon done quick in microwave will provide lots of grease.

@previous (B) > You microwave potatoes too don't you?
Not really Except If I am going to grill a steak which takes maybe 4 mins per side - Then I will somewhat pre cook the baked potato and finish on the grill.
Sure I could fire up the grill and wait till the potato is cooked but if I want speed and the texture of a grilled baked potato then its going to use a little microwave in prep

Not on a regular basis but I sure have. Discussed this with a gal member of MC and now if in a real rush I can cook one up in 45 seconds,
I still prefer the bring pot to boil (small pot) and swirl the water and slide egg in. The microwave version has the least clean up and without doubt is beyond super fast

er no - However Syntax remembers a cold winter morning at Hughes R&D where a tech was testing a borrowed small nose cone radar transmitter for a Hughes air to air missile - and people took turns warming their hands in the RF Microwave field - Really really dumb cause I actually new more better but figured if their hands were not turning white from RF burn I might give it a try

Agree regular liver is kinda yucky and markets around here never carry it. Chicken Livers are different and adding bacon (have not really had this for years) adds crunch
But you know, I don't think that a mere 46 replies properly reflects gravy's use in our society. We need to shoot for at least 100 replies, I think.

Come on baby I need gravy
Give me, give me
Give me, give me gravy tonight
I know you dance the mashed potato fine
But that don?t show me that you?re really mine
Once start dancin? we?re now romancin?
So put that sucker on extra on the line
Gravy
On my mashed potatoes, give me
Gravy
Come and treat me right
Gravy
You?re the greatest, so
Give me, give me
Give me, give me gravy tonight
I think it?s twisted but I want some more
There?s something missing now we?re on the floor
Come on baby I want some gravy
A little kiss is what I?m waiting for
Gravy
On my mashed potatoes, give me
Gravy
Come and treat me right
Gravy
You?re the greatest
Give me, give me
Give me, give me gravy tonight
Work out baby work out
All that huggin? and kissin? is why
I?ve got to have something else
Now when the mashed potato is finally through
There?s lots of groovy, gravy things to do
Lots of lovin?, kissin?, huggin?
I wanna ride that gravy train with you
Gravy
On my mashed potatoes, give me
Gravy
Come and treat me right
Gravy
Hey baby you?re the greatest
Give me, give me
Give me, give me gravy tonight, give me
Gravy
On my mashed potatoes, give me
Gravy
Come and treat me right
Gravy
Oh baby come on honey
Give me, give me
Give me, give me gravy tonight
Gravy
On my mashed potatoes, give me
Gravy
All that huggin? and kissin? is great
That I like
Yeah, what about gravy on it
