well, he could've figured this out years ago if he was a more clever fellow. he was actually aware that he had a cult following and he even knew entire websites devoted to his life had popped up. it took kinda forever for it to dawn on him that he had an audience he could leverage. he should've seen what kind of traffic his name generated, and he could've gotten in front of this thing a long, long time ago.
but really i think he probably just started an Etsy page because that's what his autistic mind had decided to do these days. i think he's probably still pretty oblivious to the kind of draw that he actually has, and i doubt he's actually trying to leverage his audience. he happens to be monetizing his lolcowness probably without fully realizing that's what he's doing.
