I believe you have the right to that point of view. Thats one of the "nice" things about Christianity. You make the choice, you stand by your decision. In some cultures you are virtually forced to follow your religion or be an outcast. Equally, I too I have the right to my point of view and to make my decision. You assume that the justification Moses used was true. Times were different, people would not have questioned his word. Try that defence today. I read books on diseases, natural disasters, food, sex, animals, sexual abuse, murder, and religion. Some of my favorite books are about destructive cults. I also love biographies.

it's hard to know what specific instance you are referring to but you mentioned moses

the hebrews were a nomadic desert tribe. their constant complaints about lack of resources are well documented and I do not believe they could have supported more people
