When programming languages become so advanced to where it will more or less be typing an English (or whatever language the scripter wants) sentence into the script for the computer to decipher?
Is this the day we have to fear? Will it require advanced artificial intelligence?
And I would rather describe something like a for loop with a for loop rather than an English sentence.

that is just parsing words. that is not having a computer truly comprehend and act upon a natural language.

Natural language has some undefined behaviors. The effort to truly understand a language and its edge cases would be pointless.
The value of regular languages is that they can be efficiently parsed. Studying math and computer science exposes how programming languages work, which reveals exactly how incongruent they are with natural language.

i agree with you, but that means that the answer to OP's question is no. in order for computers to fully parse (and be able to act upon) natural language you'd have to have an AI
