If you're new here, it's a kind of hazing. If you've been here a while, then it just seems like a way of expressing love for a fellow minion. You have to grow into it. We love each other by trying to find the most hurtful insults to hurl, and if you can let it roll off your back, then you are obviously chan material. We just want to see when you'll break. If you don't, then maybe you'll stay and make interesting posts.

I've been here for a bit, and I'd say it isn't quite a "hazing" thing, but rather just the way of speaking on the site. It's sort of a release to be able to say the most extreme insult one can, it's also comical. That being said I think a few users here are actually hated, Matt being one of them.
I also think some of the users are genuinely just full of disdain, and mean 100% of what they say. Brie is an example of this I think, so is Becky.
