The brant goose is a part of the anatidae family belonging to the animalia kingdom. The brant goose is a small variation of geese with short and stubby bills. Albeit it used to be strictly a coastal bird, feeding primarily on seaweed, eel-grass, and sea lettuce, recent times have shown migration inland feeding extensively on grass.Note: The brant goose is one of the species to which the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA) applies.
