no matter what you put in the ignore list it simply doesn't filter anything, and has nothing to do with it being case sensitive or not, could you look into it?

heres an example: I have syntax in my ignore list yet I can still easily see his posts, the only thing that happens is that if i make a post that has the term "syntax" it automatically hides that as opposed to hiding everything else in addition to it, I also dont get the "ignore list" message in regards to it, it just autohides it.

and now because of that I'm not even going to be able to see any responses in regards to the post I just made because it contains the phrase, as opposed to (like i said) the ignore list working like it used to (which is to actually ignore the user and posts made under the name, even without a tripcode)

It has never worked for usernames or was intended to work for it, so that is not a bug but an enhancement. An enhancement worth implementing for sure, but let's at least categorize stuff correctly.

If it completely bides a reply containing the word syntax and replaces the cites to it with @hidden then that is working how it was originally intended. Again, it could be improved upon, but then please give a detailed explanation of what you'd like to see.

r04r early asked for a translation or deeper understanding of one of my posts. I honestly do not understand OP's point.
Why does OP bother to type in Syntax into one of his posts yet want to not see Syntax the real? Or even unreal? Or for that matter un-even?

And just for the record, making usernames ignoreable will incentivize people to post anon or modulate their names. People seem to want it and it's easy to implement, though, so I'll add it to the to-do list. But just saying, it's going to be a disaster.
