Well, according to the New Testament, anyone who accepts Christ as their savior is born anew, meaning that all of their past "sins" are erased. From that perspective, even a mass murderer could be reconciled with God if they genuinely believe that Jesus is the messiah.
Depends on which interpretation you consult. Most protestants affirm that Faith + Repentence + Good Works = Redemption, but Paul's letters generally agree that Faith alone is enough, as the other two aren't sufficient to land you in paradise.
