Because Apple is expensive, and because PC users like to think they are superior haxxorz. Anyone who has actually used Mac OSX knows that it is far superior to Windows.

It's like saying a hammer is a shitty tool cause it sucks at putting Nutella on toast.

Try doing any CAD work on a Mac, report back how it ended.

Macs do have some of the best photo/video editing tools, and the fact that Apple color calibrates the displays of their devices before shipping is a neat thing for anyone who needs accurate colors.

That is for the iMacs and MacBook Pros... the Air crap are overpriced facebook machines, specially the latest one with one port. With the underpovered U series of intel processors, they are too weak for anything remotely productive.

Hahaha, you're a funny guy. You remind me of a designer I worked with on a project... he tried to convince me to buy a mad. I give it to him, for image/video manipulation, it's marvellous. But I asked him "Tell me one thing your Mac can do better than my thinkpad" and he was like:

"Oh it's Apple... they make it so it's worth it, being more productive... I can't name you a single thing, it's all of it, you should watch me work and you'd understand..."

Basically fanboys being fanboys. Same as you ITT.

The Mac OSX is elegant. It does not use shells like Windows, so in the very rare event that one program crashes, no others do (unlike Windows).

The mother of all CAD software, AutoCAD, is crippled on MacOS. Missing half of it's functionality...

Everything else doesn't even exist... Solidworks etc... now stop being ignorant, thanks.

it depends what display you have with it otherwise not really

source: me, im typing this on a macbook right now and i work at a studio that has photographers and everyone here uses both pc and mac
