Zizek once said that masoschism was a way to deal with the inability to compete against others sexual fantasies. The masochist admits defeat but it's a conditional surrender where he or she has a say in how that will be expressed during sex.
That doesn't make sense because all masochists can remember their fetish existing way before puberty. Is it not very strange that humans seem to preform many kinds of specific sexual rituals yet they aren't sure why? It's fucked up that's all.....
