I am pitching a show to the Discovery Channel. It combines Bear Gylls survival, Zak Bagans ghost hunting, Anthony Bourdain culinary travel, and my own language skills. In the show, I will ride a rugged motorcycle around rural Asia, from tiny village to tiny village. I will learn the local language enough to communicate. I will depend only on the hospitality of the locals to eat, and in doing so, I will experience amazing, special food. I will carry gifts to give them in return for their hospitality. It will be just me and a camera man. If the bike breaks down, we will have to negotiate a way to get it fixed, etc. If we get lost in a jungle with tigers, we will have to survive. After I eat their delicious food, I will ask them about local paranormal stories, then go investigate them!

you could probably figure out some version of this as a youtube channel. learn simple video editing, camera work, and do your own subtitles.
honestly it's off the wall enough you'd get viewers. just going to haunted chinese places and telling the legend and talking to people would be enough. but make it an off the wall ghost/food hunter and do some crazy "running from scary noises" bits and you could be web famous.
seriously. people would watch a web show from a chinese expat.
