UPDATE So now 4 of the 5 clerks told the judge they wood issue licenses. The one hold out is the son of that Fat Pig of a woman - Married 3 times and had kids while not married and she now holds up her Jesus bible and whines and holds out for Jesus values
Now this Fed Judge is one smart Judge. In minutes that Pig will be back in court and Judge going to ask her if she will interfere with her sub clerks following the Constitution.
She can say NO and walk out of Jail a free woman or tell the Judge she will interfere - then Judge can keep her locked up and problem solved until next Jan when state legislature comes back to deal with wot to do with an electrocuted official that breaks the constitution

the problem is that religion can be used to justify literally anything. this woman has been a christian for 4 years. did y'all know that?
also, the bible instructs us to submit to authority, and that god is the ultimate judge. her refusal to abide by the laws of her government is considered a sin, it is up to GOD to determine whether or not the person who ordered you to act is the one who sinned, not YOU. it's the whole fucking reason that soldiers on the fucking battle field are allowed BY GOD to kill another man without burdening themselves with sin. and if it is good enough for our fucking troops, then it's good enough for this sanctimonious, self righteous bigot. and the best part of it ALL is that this is all new testament stuff, and what she's hinging her actions on are old testament ideas. things that ultimately jesus rejects and things that are made obsolete by the new testament. what her religion is based on are beliefs that are in opposition to her actions in every single way.
and yet people get to call whatever ignorant belief they think a "religious belief" and somehow that makes them untouchable. that's the problem. religios give people the right to do, and say, and act however they like.

Well, yeah. If someone who has led a good life and been happily married for 30+ years and had some ups and downs along the way was giving advice on marriage that would be something. This lady is not that person. If someone has made a ton of bad choices in life in the past, then it doesn't necessarily mean they have learned to make better ones. People who make bad life choices are often the people who make them again and again.
