"After a 16-year-old Fayetteville girl made a sexually explicit nude photo of herself for her boyfriend last fall, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office concluded that she committed two felony sex crimes against herself and arrested her in February.
The girl was listed on a warrant as both the adult perpetrator and the minor victim of two counts of sexual exploitation of minor - second-degree exploitation for making her photo and third-degree exploitation for having her photo in her possession."
They also suspect that she was peeping on herself by looking in a mirror

If these two teens can be charged as adults, why can't they file a motion to sext as adults?
I mean, the rationale for age of consent and anti-CP laws is that minors' brains aren't fully developed and they're not capable of making rational and responsible decisions or understanding the consequences of things like signing contracts or voting or sex(ting). Okay, fine that makes sense. But then if a minor can't consent to sexting, how can they "consent" to making an adult decision to commit a felony crime? I mean it seems like it should be one or the other.

I just read about a boy who had a Dropbox of underage nudes, and his yearbook quote was "I prolly had ur pics" he was charged with "transmission of sexually explicit images by a minor."
Those were pics of other people, and he got ligjter charges than this girl was facing. Sexism? Punishing the girl for being dirty. I bet the prosecutor wanted to give her a bare bottom spanking. Guarantee he beat off to the pics.
