They're like seeds. They're edging at the top because they symbolise growth under the yellow light. The yellow light shows how hope can overcome even the darkest of moments. The white thing is meant to suggest an umbrella/shield, a book, a home, a hug, an open invitation but also a grave marker. I was influenced by Horace when he said "Not all of me will die". As someone who for a very long time struggled with mental illness, depression and suicidal impulses it's comforting to think that even though someday I will die, it's not all hopeless, because just by being alive in the world my actions will ripple and I will have affected and will affect many peoples lives.
So yeah, a little pretentious and a little embarrassing and I know in reality it's a vague shape with 5 colours, but like I said it makes me happy.
