Google no matter wot you think of the Logo is a wonderful tool. Many examples on the web but as you will see the Welfare was usually a bridge to get someone past the point of starvation or living on the street. Very few examples of people who used the money to directly start a going business.

Not invent Yet I ended up with one fun assignment on the side to work on - Qualcomm asked me to do a small thing for them back in first year of their business. I ended up with some very cool Google first issued stock as a thank you. Have not sold a share of that. Lots of little side projects but the Google was by far the most profitable. One other example which I did not work on - Net Zero.
