An explosion shook a chemical plant in an industrial zone in China's Dongying, in Shandong province, shortly before midnight on Monday, according to state media.
There were no immediate reports of casualties. One person died last month after a blast hit a chemical plant in a different part of Shandong last month.
The Twitter account for People's Daily reported Monday night's explosion, as did state radio. Dongying's population is about two million.
Earlier this month, a series of explosions at warehouse complex in the port city of Tianjin killed at least 145 people.

The angry anons, mad at Matt because he tricked them by telling a fib. @596,768 (hater !JGlOo5d1iU)
I think it makes the whole "angry anon" group seem even more foolish if they have that name.
I honestly prefer Matt to be either ignored, or banned. But he seems to have, under his full control, the attention of some weak minded fools who keep feeding his ego. The merry men. Thanks

The emotion of pleasure in others' misfortune (Schadenfreude in German) is generally regarded as enjoyable.

So, depressionman manipulates the merry men with schadenfreude? Makes sense I suppose.

No. Just as people slow down to observe a car wreak.
Schadenfreude Explained: We Secretly Smile When Others Fail. Schadenfreude, a bit of enjoyment at the misfortunes of others.

Matt is going to read this and start posting car wreck schtick, in the hope that people will observe him. The merry men will get angry that he tricked them again and we end up with more threads started like this, ad infinitum...

@596,865 (D) > The angry anons
Angry anons are just generally angry with everyone. There's no fixing them.

Yes, this is pretty ridiculous. The same people who want him banned constantly keep bumping his shtick posts and feeding him attention. I just don't understand it. The "problem" that annoys them only exists because they themselves just keep on fueling it.

Hardly. Matt left to his own devices will quickly flood a forum with crap without anybody feeding him attention. The ongoing mod attention is somewhat keeping him in check at the moment, otherwise it would be far worse.

Sure without mod attention it would be worse. I'm not talking about that, though. I'm talking with the current mod attention it is pretty much impossible to deal with some of this behavior. For example, it's very simple to delete one of his shitposts when it's just him. When it's gotten a dozen replies, and those replies got more of their own then the thread is officially derailed. He gets what he wants because people keep replying to him. It also feels wrong to delete so many replies at once. Things would be so much simpler if people could figure out to click the report button INSTEAD of the reply button.

I am pretty sure that some of them are shitposters too anyway, so it's not in their interest to stop.
Personally I think it would be much less of a headache all around to simply ban Matt for good. But I gather you're not really into that sort of moderation. Generally I agree, since it's a chan and all, but Matt seems like way more trouble than he's worth.

I'm not permabanning Matt, who is only slightly annoying and still makes decent posts, because some other people can't figure out how to ignore (and optionally report) something that annoys them.

Decent posts? Only slightly annoying? I'm not sure we're talking about the same bloke.
But whatever. That is your decision. I just don't see the drama surrounding him ending any time soon. Especially since it's a quick and easy way for any troll who feels like it to start an argument.

He also posts anonymously. And yes, only slightly annoying. He is a bit repetitive, but he mostly keeps to his own threads as far as I recall. If I'm wrong feel free to link me some examples.
