i've had my eye on this game for a while. it's a co-operative game for 1-5 players. it's in beta though, so, might be one to skip for now. but it looks pretty fun. unfortunately they no plans to expand to a game larger than 5 players, but that's okay because they appear to be working on plenty of PvE content to tackle.

if i could get 4 other people interested in playing this now i'd bite. it's 25 bucks.

it's pretty new. i think they're looking at going to Steam early access here pretty soon. So it's still early in the beta, but i've seen some streams of it and it looks like people have fun. Well, maybe just vods. let me check twitch.

If people want to play this then i'd probably stream some of it if y'all are cool with that. Also probably VOIP would be good to use, i dunno how robust their chat is or if it would just be too cumbersome to let us be effective.

so if y'all don't want to do VOIP then we might skip this one for that reason. also i don't have to stream anything, that's not a deal breaker

it looks like there's a way to just use a chat box. so it's probably fine to just use that. so using VOIP doesn't look like a requirement. i just wasn't sure, all the videos i've seen have been with voice

actually this might not be the best game, because we'll all have to be playing at the same time. like we'll need everyone to set times and schedule it otherwise we won't have enough people. a drop-in drop-out game where we can all play regardless of schedule might be better. more people could play and no one would have to be excluded in a larger multiplayer game.

how do y'all feel about games like Ark? i've heard good stuff about it and they have PvE and PvP dedicated servers.

The only issue is you need to keep a copy that is separate from steam in order to be able to get on a server when updates get pushed out or else you're at the mercy of whoever hosts the server to update it.
