Verbal abuse. A man will only put up with so much, and if it were another man then there would have probably have been a violent and mutual confrontation earlier, with much less verbal abuse. Women are not completely innocent victims at all times, this is a feminist ideal that has been written into law.
Physical abuse.
Women will time and again initiate the first contact, an often trivial and weak attack specifically to provoke a desired response. Most men who are involved in contact sports are aware of this tactic, as it is used effectively to score penalties against the opposing team.
Shouldn't provoked domestic violence be classed differently than casual domestic violence? I think it should be. Thanks

I think in cases where it's demonstrated the man attempted to leave the situation and the woman followed, it should be dismissed as a "deserved" beating.

There are people who feel that everything that happens right up until a man uses violence against a woman no longer matters once the man acts violently, even though violence is a predictable outcome to certain scenarios. Men are considered accountable for their actions, women... Not so much.
Not women's fault. It's part of socialization. To make "hitting women bad" required a societal taboo. Breaking that taboo, regardless of the circumstances is literally the worst thing you can do short of harming a child. Women, according to society, are like children.
In reality, they're like men only smaller.

My buddy can't see his kids because the cops couldn't see where she hit him first. Exactly like she planned, AGAIN! I've seen her scratch and kick and spit at him while he held her arms down to try to stop her getting crazy. That bitch knew what she was doing, and just how to get under his skin. When we were younger my buddy and I had a fight or two and I know how hard the guy can hit, so that bruise on her face doesn't equal the broken nose, black eye, missing teeth, etc that heshould could have inflicted.
And now she will use his limited contact with his children against him, again. It's for money. If he wants to see his son he has to pay for things. I hope that when the boy gets older and seeks out his father then the lies she has told him about his dad will be revealed.
