Almost a week ago the Icelandic government decided to be a part of the nations that will put economic sanctions on Russia. Russia fights back and will no longer buy fish from us. This means
a huge income is lost so many are angry and demand we remove the sanctions. This has lead to some circus-like justifications of sticking to the ban on certain imported Russian goods.
#1 not allowing Russia to sell their goods here (nobody knows which goods) is a question of morality and if we don't do that then we are immoral
#2 if iceland does not stick to its ban on Russian goods then the entire world will stop thinking Iceland is cool and no tourists will want to visit iceland anymore

Did some quick research about Iceland.

Iceland can solve Eu problem of immigration. Betting most Eu countries will gladly pay top dollar to ship out immigrants to Iceland.
Also all that land has value to store Nuke waste. Some can be dumped into active volcanoes.

Tourists travel for adventure - new cultures - new foods - New Vistas. Doubt tourism will suffer one bit if Iceland treats Russia one way or other.

Why not sell ice to the Arabs instead of fish to the Russians? The Arabs have lots of money but its hot there. So you could load up insulated tankers with ice and export it.
