A man is involved in a car crash with his young child and their faithful dog. As the car bursts into flames, the dog manages to free itself. In your experience, would the dog go back to save the occupants, and if yes, who would it drag to safety first, the man or the child?

Interesting. I've also read news articles about certain birds (parrots, cockatoos and even crows) that raise the alarm when their adopted human "siblings" are in danger.

Yeah, I read one article about a crow that was nursed back to health by a local family after it broke its wing. After it recovered, it "adopted" the kids rather than just fly away. Not only did it accompany them to and from school, it somehow knew when they came out for lunch and recess, recognized their friends and generally stood guard over them when they visited parks and playgrounds. Nobody messed with these kids, because the crow would turn mean whenever it perceived a threat. Amazingly, it could tell the difference between play-fighting and a genuine scuffle, and would even get between the brother and sister when they were having an argument.
