I only have 20k in my retirement. I get a pension, too. I'm gonna die before I get any of it. I might cash out my 401k early and take the penalties. I don't see a reason not to. My lifestyle is exceptionally unhealthy and I do not care to change.

Consider cashing that 401k out for Bitcoin. Thanks.

Seriously, investing millions in a bank is moronic.

Large business's have to. Payroll for instance. Its also risky re limits of Fed insurance on a single account. I do have multiple bank accounts but for sure its been years since I had a balance close to a total of such and then for only a short amount of time until I dumped it into real estate and or stock market.

Bank of America for instance on Money Market account with $100,000 is 0.12%

Over the many years that bank has been very very very VERY good to me multiple times.
A quick story and then I have to hit the beach for a fire pit event. Was maybe 16 with money in a small bank but on vacation in Tahoe with parents and met a sweet girl - Just regular teen stuff but I needed more cash. Went to the local B0A to see if I could get money from my bank and was told not really possible - But the manager took $20 out of his wallet as a personal loan. Very cool and of course I mailed that cash back when I got home. And over the years Managers have been more then good to me. Up to one year ago they were my prime bank until Chase offered me a deal I could not refuse.

Out of here
