It's hilarious how big a deal this is. It really shouldn't be. He isn't important, he wasn't committing huge offenses. It's incredible how easily the media distracts the public from real issues. I never considered how the media is really just an extension of the government looking after the interests of the wealthy.

So much evidence that pleading guilty was the only possible way he could hope for other then a life time of prison sex - and the Judge is still free to send him to prison for life on the charges.

I wonder what Fogle's financial situation will be after all this is over. They say he's worth $15 million, so say half (7.5) to his ex wife and 1.4 in restitution and maybe another million for legal costs and fines and stuff leaves him with $5.1 million left over. He's 37 and if he gets 5 years he'll be 42 on release. If he doesn't work he could live in obscurity on $100k a year for ~50 years off his money.
