It's been predicted and many are accepting the high chance of a female doctor.

And now an actress has came out expressing her interest in portraying the time lord.

What would be interesting is that in a comedic spoof of the series, written by current showrunner Steven Moffat, played with the idea of a female incarnation which was number 13. Now it seems like by adding an incar inbetween 8 and 9, Moffat had possibly set himself up for that female 13th.

They should have a young girl be time lord. Really shake things up. Maybe replace everyone with a young girl and have the setting be a nude beach. That would be really empowering.
