I would probably buy one if I was rich but I can't really think of when you would actually wear something like that. Maybe if you work in a pit stop for f1 races.

very cool, but i wonder how they prevent the mechanism from getting dirty since it's got no crystal and the "hands" must interact with the gearing somehow. i wonder if the ball is in a channel and the mechanism uses magnets to pull the little bearings around.
oh yeah, i guess it could be quartz, if so then i guess those wouldn't need to be kept as clean internally, then i guess the ball could just be mounted to a disk on the hand shafts. bet it's not water resistant though. but i dig the styling.

awesome. it uses magnets to turn the bearings and it IS water resistant, not water proof, but it can get wet and be fine. pretty cool for $285. but, it's a kick starter thing so don't expect replacement parts to be easy to find at the local jeweler.
hmm, it actually uses an off the shelf mechanism but has a unique internal casing that does the real work. so it might not be hard to service after all.
looks like a pretty damn solid design

Yeah it uses magnets. I think you can probably get it clean with a q-tip or something.

I meant to post this watch before but I forgot the brand name. This one's fully mechanical.
