What i mean is that if you are living in the western world you have it pretty good. Not always perfect or satisfiable but just good enough to turn the oppression into the other direction. For example, a woman or a man might feel like they are the oppressed gender or whatever, so i say, good then you have a perfectly good reason to be unaccommodating to society and thus you have permission to think only about yourself and not care about anybody else.

Politically speaking, gender equality will never happen because most would rather get off on 'hilarious' arguments all day than making a positive change to society. In any case, sex != gender despite everybody thinking it does and even then confusion sets in if you get more complex than 'boy' 'girl' terminology.
