Topic: Google Music has been acting up lately :(

I am using the free variant where you can upload your own music and stream that to your devices. Earlier today it said my account type had changed and I needed to refresh the page. Since then I'm in some kind of semi-free mode where it plays my local music + random radio stations and it has limited the amount of times I can skip a song. After I exhaust the limit it tells me I need to pay. It does not seem I can get the old behavior back either :( Sad.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

@OP
Have you tried purchasing your music on physical media?

Have you tried not using the cloud for media?

Yes, it was a lot less pleasant.

I'm sorry you enjoy being spoon-fed advertising and locked into listening to songs you aren't interested in.

Uhh, you realize that google music (when using your own uploaded catalogue) has absolutely no ads and that since i am uploading my own catalogue i have a local copy of all my music, can add any music i want, and am only using it to stream music to my phone and laptop without having to manually sync my library?

Have you tried iTunes?

Right, their player bugged out and is-on top of all the music i uploaded and control-giving me access to their entire catalogue for free. I've since discovered an option to only play my own music, but this is actually kind of nice.
