> For example, he whacks her not so much because he wants to control her, or because he wants to achieve something, but because she persists in going on and on and on and on about something that she wants. And in doing so, she is well-trained in the art of using the verbal knife in order to hurt him and to drive him crazy.

> Indeed, if you study the court cases, it transpires that many men have killed their partners because they could no longer stand the sound of "her voice going on and on and on".

Fucking women, being mean. They deserve to get murdered. It's all their own fault!

Here's the the thing, this is kind of true. When you look at instances of women being assaulted by their lovers, you find a few interesting things.

1. Men will try and distance themselves during an argument with their partner, because they are trying not to get violent. They'll stop talking and walk into another room, or even leave the house. The women will follow them, and do things to try and prevent them from leaving the home.
2. During an of instance domestic violence, women often throw the first punch, slap, etc but they dont make it count. So not only does she not incapacitate her "abuser" but she also ups the level of violence in the confrontation, which allows him to retaliate.
3.The most common phrase spoken by a woman right before she is assaulted is "motherfucker"
4. A good amount of serial killers state that the nonstop insults from a female acquaintance (relative or otherwise) were the primary motive for the murder.
One of these is Edward Kemper who killed his mother for that very reason, and threw her larynx down the garbage disposal in a symbolic gesture.

From where are you getting this information? It sounds like something you'd find on an MRA site. It's phrased in a way that minimises blame on the man (who is apparently forced to resort to violence by a vindictive campaign of nagging and entrapment) whilst emphasising the woman's actions as the root cause.

I think at the end of the day although it's true some men can be easily provoked, it's up to an individual not to assault other people except in self-defence. I've been in some really terrible arguments in the past and I know just how aggravating some things can be, but even the worst thing that's been said to me is not an excuse to murder or assault my partner.

But it says things like "men will try to physically distance themselves" and " women often throw the first punch". That's not just a focus on the woman's role in starting domestic violence, those statements cast positive and negative perceptions upon entire genders.

I won't deny that, intentionally or not, a female partner could do something to anger her male partner. Although, I still agree with Ash about the person doing the abuse being the one in the wrong.

The only thing I took issue with was your phrasing, the issues of which I've explained.

kook !!Phkn/3Gic replied with this 11 years ago, 23 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #590,201

@previous (Killer Lettuce !!iNo3FkiZx)
Unintentionally? Hitting someone, cursing them out, and refusing to let them leave a confrontation is very intentionally.
My wording spooked you both because you're so used to hearing these issues with a tone that automatically puts men as the aggressor.

Killer Lettuce !!iNo3FkiZx replied with this 11 years ago, 26 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #590,207

@previous (kook !!Phkn/3Gic)
It's an argument, the male may well be acting aggressively too. I doubt the man is often just sitting there politely until he suddenly explodes and lashes out. And an argument isn't even the only situation in which domestic abuse can spring from, FYI. One partner could just be a crazy person who flips out with little provocation.

And you are wrong about why I took issue with your post. I know that domestic abuse can be done by a male or a female, so I don't view it as a gendered thing. In fact, I recently attended an induction thing where somebody who monitors domestic abuse spoke, and she said as much herself.

kook !!Phkn/3Gic double-posted this 11 years ago, 3 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #590,221

My advice to women, never hit, slap, or punch someone unless you're doing it to incapacitate. Also after you make the blow, you need to run. Don't hang around to see if your attack was successful and don't hang around so that you can continue cursing and insulting someone. That's how you get killed.

I already explained my problem. Your initial post didn't seem to quite reflect reality in that it seems to live in a world where only women ever (or at least often) provoke domestic assaults, and the man is basically entrapped into lashing out. It just seems to blame the female gender a tad too much, m8.

And do you really want to call Angry Harry a guy who is "only speaking the truth" when he is claiming that women have brains designed to manipulate men? He is calling women heartless manipulators at a fundamental level.

kook !!Phkn/3Gic replied with this 11 years ago, 8 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #590,242

@previous (Killer Lettuce !!iNo3FkiZx)
Women's brains are designed so that they can get their way without the use of violence. If you are disputing that, I'd like to hear it.
Also if my original statement had mostly blamed men, you would have said nothing.

The person throwing the first punch is the instigator of the violence, not necessarily the confrontation.

You don't think that saying a woman's brain is literally designed to manipulate men is going a little far? He's calling women innately manipulative and immoral.

I would have said the same sort of stuff if you had been talking about men, m8- my whole issue here is against generalisations as a whole. Can you understand that? I am not motivated by some sort of political correctness, which you seem to be be assuming.

> The person throwing the first punch is the instigator of the violence, not necessarily the confrontation.
Makes sense, but that varies anyway.

It is designed to manipulate people, because that's a safer method of navigating a situation.
Women have better verbal skills for a reason. If you don't have brute strength, what can you do*? You talk it out.
Are you actually trying to say that women aren't better manipulators than men?

Killer Lettuce !!iNo3FkiZx replied with this 11 years ago, 9 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #590,259

@previous (kook !!Phkn/3Gic)
That's not really what I'm getting at. The way Harry uses it, is to imply a vindictiveness inherent in women.

It's plain to see from the rest of the website that he has a low opinion of women. He denies that women are or have have been oppressed, he calls feminism a "Marxist plot" to destroy families, and at the end of that rant in the OP, he basically says that ALL women are callous manipulators, one-dimensional manipulators.

I'm sorry, m8, but this guy is a textbook MRA.

I don't care about his hate for the women as long as he is stating facts. His site has a lot of true things on it. Mra or sjw if its true its true.
He even believes in the chimpanzee thing just like sjw's/trannies do, and that's very amusing to me.

Maybe you should look at his points and dispute them one by one instead of saying that he's an mra and calling it a day.

Also mra's have a lot if good points. Such as disproportionate sentences for crimes and skewed child custody agreements.

Well, I'm not sure I'd call his narrative of women being skilled, callous manipulators to be particularly factual, overall He even says that women can't appreciate football tactics but can appreciate soaps because they're apparently to do with manipulation, for fuck's sake.

I appreciate what you're saying about stereotyping against men. That mindset is certainly bad and irrational. Yet, you should take care not to support the other side of the spectrum either. They can't when it concerns men who don't provide for them (provide can be emotional or material). Look at the modern feminist movement as evidence of this.
