I try, but it gets expensive. I now only smoke, usually, out of my one hitter. It looks like a cigarette so it's inconspicuous whne I hang out my window smoking. It's not great, but it greatly reduces the amount I smoke, which is good cause I keep a lower tolerance, longer.

if you were smart you would have invested in a vaporizer instead

I own a vaporizer. I might get a portable one, that doesn't look like anything because it's so discreet, but it's $300, which isn't cheap.
