You always hear in the news how teenagers are being tried as an adult for some heinous crime or other, what is the deal with that? I thought the whole point of juvenile courts was that minors are not as responsible or capable of reasoning as adults, hence why they can't sign contracts or consent or hold most jobs.

They really have to change the juvenile laws. Currently those girls wood just get a slap on wrist for a few years for a horrid crime committed as teens.
Just declare them adults and throw the book at them. Does not make much sense but who wants fuck up kids back out on street to commit mayhem.
Back sometime ago judges were giving extra powers to declare kids as adults. Sorta biblical. Probably stems from Salomon. Like cutting the kid in half or something like that.

Update for you. If convicted as adults - They will still end up in a jail for juveniles until the age of 18. Then they will transfer to a adult prison. Or possible they end up in mental Juvenile facility and then transfer to adult Mental joint. - Info from CNN

Yea, but they still get an adult sentence for a crime one was not legally sane for and the other was too developmentally deficient to properly understand. I mean, they truly believed at the time slender man wanted them to do it.
Insane. I mean, the girl they tried to kill is cuter than both of them, so it's a terrible crime, but minors should not he tried as adults, unless they're a black male.
