They make everyone submit to a "higher power", and follow the "Big Book". They carry a fucking badge to show their membership, and how long they have been a member. They try to get family members involved through similar organizations, and by allowing them to come to meetings. Like many religions they convince people they are bad, and cannot solve the problem alone, that they can only fix themselves with the group. The group exploits new members, an anonymous survey found 56% of women report their sponsor, or other members approaching them for dates or sex (sauce). The whole program teaches people to whine about life and blame their problems on others, in one big circlejerk, and to convince people that leaving will mean relapse (and of course losing their coin), people are encouraged to stay in the program.

i feel sort of the way as OP.
they hella mindfuck you in there and screw with your mind a lot. its notnok to rhink that leaving will
definitely mean relapse and its like they want you to stay.
they can also be really mean to new people and thats really not cool.

Any addiction is very easy to break without using any will power and without getting any mental withdrawal symptoms. Physical withdrawal is different though.
