No, the stage would be played out how the pedo sees the world and feels it. A quiet pedo might be very quiet but maybe inside, she or he is mad afraid of having given signals that they are what they are. So the opera would be focusing on the imagination of such pedophiles. Worrying about Freudian slips and having their focused removed and in return noticing that lack of focus, panicking that without that focus their true nature shall be revealed.

Ok, maybe I was a little quick to judge, I'm sure there must be people who struggle with their realization. Just because they realize it, doesn't mean they have to act. It wouldn't have to be all internal either. I'm sure some seek psychiatric help after making their realization. Now that I think about it, it could make for interesting subject matter. The negative stigma attached may deter people from seeing such a production, though.

Well maybe they would seek help, so you are right it wouldn't have to be all internal. Maybe some of the scenes could be a talk between the pedo and the psychoanalyst (the psychiatric people believe in medication and not talking)
