I could literally put a giant dildo in my backyard here in Europe and no one can do shit about it. I do what I want on my land... I've heard stories that the home owner association has all kinds of powers in the states, but banning a man from keeping HIS plane in HIS driveway... hahaha :')

Guretzky could simply sell the Cessna. A quick lookup of very old Cessna's that are flight worthy - EVEN when Old as fuck are worth bottom line $39,000 - Many are worth $50K -$125,000

And HOA's are NOTHING compared to Calif Coastal Commission. Any change to my roof line or ANY Construction has to be approved by a Cal Gov committee

Yes, I could even put a cesna on top of that dildo and no one could remove it from MY backyard. We've been once over this... I usually let my neighbors park in my backyard, and one winter they bitched about how they can't park cause my driveway was full of snow... so I built a 4 meter tall snowman in the middle of it and they could do fuck all till it melted (the winter was a really cold one, it stood proud over a month).
And why should he sell the cesna, maybe he wants to give it to his grand children or something.

Damn. So if you decide to turn your front yard in2 a junk yard - Your neighbors end up subjected to looking at a trash pile everytime they look out window or go outside.
I own several condos I lease out and HOA's can be a real pain. One has been a total pain re number of complaints and FORMS to fill out and two meetings to attend to defend my lease holder.
However the lessee pays the lease 3 months in advance sooooooo I deal with it.
Issue is ALWAYS stuff on their patio that does NOT conform to HOA rules - Bike etc etc - Has to be limited to patio furniture

Yessir, there have been cases when gipsy families piled up metal and shit, neighbors tried everything to get rid of them but it's their land. It was problematic when rats started reproducing on the gipsy backyard, but the only thing they could do is fine them for the rats and order them to allow a deratisation. Otherwise, the metal pile stayed.
But that's a really rare case of extreme junk. Otherwise people here just don't do such shit, people here have that mentality that they don't do what they don't want others to do to them. For example, if your neighbor throws a really loud party you don't call the cops, cause the next time you will party they won't call them either etc. etc...
But back on topic tho, I can keep and do whatever I want on my land except perhaps burning piles of tiers or spill huge amounts of oil into the ground, cause that would directly endanger the life of my neighbors.

Building is a different story, you have to have build permits and your house can't take up more than 60% of the land and you have to leave 2 meters space to your neighbors etc. etc...
There's a difference between real estate and movables.
On the bright side, if you really want to build a nuke reactor, you could build it first and then take it to courts and stall the process... it would take decades for the corrupt courts to process it and the state to take down your nuke reactor.

he should have just sold it he wouldnt have had a loss of that much in comparison to purchasing the plane (planes arent cheap, even bad planes arent cheap and they still cost thousands) and a cessna constantly sells, its an in demand plane for sure, this guy is an idiot

Yea the site I chose to look up Cessna's (not ebay) had a graph along each model and shows a sharp uptick in value of Cessna's.
