I overpaid my electric bill a few times. It wasnt processing payment after 20 minutes so I would get impatient and go back and it didn't list any pending payments, so I kept resubmitting. Finally, switched to a different browser and it went through.
Turns out all the others did as well. Today my account got cleared out. I called for a refund and it's going to take 14 business days, but it left me short for rent. I figured I could ask my landlord to take a check for the remainder and not cash it for a week (she's hot, so I would trust her), but instead, I think I secured a loan. They wouldn't give me a smaller amount, so I am also purchasing an air conditioner (one of the portable, since my window unit does jack shit - literally, I wake up in a puddle and occasionally leave sweat stains on my couch, it's hotter than outside and it's been 90) and I will plan to pay the remainder off immediately, but given my past history, I will most likely treat it as free money and end up just paying it off on schedule cause I am impulsive.
I'm really stressed right now and hate life.

I made it through last summer and I made it until now No problem, and I had some bad days, but ultimately the cost savings (enough to actually pay for an AC in the last two months) made it worth it. However, I will very much enjoy sleeping in a cool room where I don't feel gross. I can't wash my sheets every day as I use a laundromat. I'm buying new sheets today as well.

Fun fact: whne I realized what I had done and that I wouldn't get a refund in time, I beat myself against the sides of my head with my fists. My right side has a bunch of broken capillaries and now over 12 hours later it still hurts a little. Very happy no black eyes or big bruising yet. Couldn't explain that.

Sounds like you're anger should really b at the browser that failed to work properly - Now I am about to do the last step for end of the month bill pay - I still kick myself for a multiple month fail to pay one bill via a credit card cause I get nice cash back when I do -

The worst is, I take cold showers and I still sweat immediately after exiting, so I feel gross until I get to work and run a fan on myself for 20 minutes. I hate the summer.
