Sorry if this isn't linear, but my dreams never are. It was set in a world of haves and have not's where rich people can extend their lives indefinitely by becoming androids. My family was not rich but I was able to become an android through my place of work. So the beginning of my dream was set in a high school which is predominately human and I'm a senior. We are at an anti drug seminar and then one of the students (an autistic Asian boy) goes on stage to teach us about abstinence. He ends up making a fool of himself and is jeered by the students. I stand up and yell "Sit down Evan! Sit down!" and throw mean looks at particularly cruel group of girls. After the assembly I'm walking home and I notice a group of people (which are mostly human and some first generation androids in bad shape) gathered around a man in a electronics store front speaking into an old fashioned thing microphone. He is giving speeches about class disparity and everyone is getting worked up.

So it cuts to a scene where I'm shopping with my mother (who is human). We encounter a the mother of one of the prissiest, and goody two shoed girls in the school (this girl was also in the vicious group of girls making fun of the autistic boy). The mother started talking about how angry that school assembly had made her. I assumed that she was speaking about how cruel the children were, but she was actually angry about the sex education. I said to her "You are so fucking stupid, get out of here." She left in a huff, and my mother said to me "Wow, you're in a bad mood today". I replied "Mom, I'm just tired of lying to people".

Then the dream cuts back to the high school. It's been a few days and I've been hearing more and more talk about protests and still haven't picked my side. I happen to run into the snooty girl and she is now an android. She wearing a frilly dress and is totally vacant. Every other robot that I've seen has kept their thoughts and feelings and personality, but this girl had absolutely no spark left. Her mother had done this to control her completely, and I felt physically nauseous at the site of it. It was then that I finally decided to become an activist for the plight of the common man.

I end up joining this group of privileged teenage androids who are rebelling against their easy lives. We are lead by a tattooed and pierced goth male with a chip on his shoulder. We end up going to a protest rally the ends in violence with several humans being killed and mutilated by the gleeful, robot elite. In this world, their are 24 hour robot service stations set up in kiosks all over the place. Our group gathers at one, strips and we pay to be serviced. After we enter the building, we grabbed tools and start mutilating ourselves to protest the violence against humans. I use a industrial sander on my stomach and sparks fly.

Later, I go to meet our leader so that we can talk about our next plan of action and he is having a heated discussion with one of the other members. I hide and try to listen. Suddenly, the goth boy rips the off the head of the male android he was arguing with! He then pulls of it's lower jaw and throws the head down a mine shaft. Condemning him to an eternity of being trapped with no chance of help. Right then, I realized that I had made a horrible mistake by following a monster and then I woke up. How freaky is that?

I don't think they have meanings. But you will dream about stuff thats on your mind, and things that been on your mind right before you sleep. I've had weird mixes of current stuff and the movie I saw right before I went to sleep.

I think so; it's pretty dark/arty. Similar style to Eraserhead or Pi.
It explores a lot of themes of machine fetishism and cyborg nature.
Actual spoiler: The main character's dick turns into a giant rotating drill at the end and he kills his girfriend with it.

I took this international studies class for kicks, because it had a Japanese/cyberpunk focus and I needed a break from math. (I'm a pretty big Gibson fan.) We watched a lot of movies, Ghost in the Shell and Paprika also. Lots of cyborg and golem themes.
I learned in that class that (some) Japanese believe dolls have souls. Pretty interesting.
