video game conference thing. They had a huge area set up for LAN. Didn't get registered in time to take a computer, but my brother and i are planning that next year and to take off a couple of days and just hang out and videogame for 48 hours.

this is the BYOC LAN area. people had all kinds of customized rigs and super fancy shit. this guy 3d printed the auto turret from TF2. it was very cool in person.

You know, Vault Boy could be considered a villain, since he's the mascot of an evil corporation. I've never felt comfortable having him as the mascot.

well, i took more pictures but they are either washed out, very blurry, or too dark. Got to check out a lot of the vender booths, saw some new MSI cards and got to check out all the new Razor stuff (rainbow LED keyboards and weird stuff) and watched a doom tournament. It was pretty cool, the vendors had a lots of different games running on their hardware and so everyone got to sit down and at least play something. we messed with some fancy gaming chairs with rumble things in them and saw John Carmack running around after the DOOM presentation i missed :(

Wish i had gotten to see the presentations and try out doom myself, but it was fun what i got to do at any rate. The neatest part imo was walking the LAN area and seeing all the different games and people's rigs. We also walked through the table top game area and watched people play everything from Magic to Warhammer. fun stuff.
