Interesting question. Do you mean all of ISIS or just like random lone wolf shootings? If all of ISIS came over (teleported, say) tomorrow if it would be a swift and bloody end for them. And let's say also the US Army is out of the picture too so it's just Southern civilians vs. ISIS.
First, all the Southerners are heavily armed and heavily Christian, not only that but they're heavily patriotic and many already feel America's in a holy war with Islam and the "ay-rab terrists" so it wouldn't take long for them to decide what to do about it. Also, the white hillbillies are familiar with the geography and have the support of the local population. Can you imagine a Syrian mujihadeen trying to stay incognito in Bumfuck County, West Virginia?
ISIS' military victories seem to come not so much from military superiority but rather the apathy and lack of morale of the armed forces of the puppet state we set up after we demolished the real Iraqi government and army. Iraqi police and soldiers are literally throwing their guns down and running away from ISIS because they have zero loyalty to the corrupt puppet state. This would not be the case with Southern hillbillies. ISIS would be gone in a week.
