Other animals seek out fermenting fruit, monkeys steal cocktails from tourists, and stories about drunk elephants are perhaps just stories.

USAmericans are mammals and most are too fat and/or lazy to jump. They hire Mexicans to jump for them probably

I already answered earlier without looking it up. I and OP are both wrong.

Aside from having to prove a negative, that no elephant can jump, I think OP would have to show that heavy mammals like hippos and rhinos could jump in order to prove that elephants are the only mammals that can't. Furthermore, OP would have to define "jump" for us. I'm perfectly willing to consider breaching behavior in cetaceans as "jumping", but not all cetaceans do that. And as far as oceanic mammals go, I don't think manatees or dugongs are capable of "jumping" at all. And are you just considering present mammals? Could mammoths or mastodons jump? There are really a lot of problems with the whole claim. I think Mark's answer is the best one yet.
